The Township of Georgian Bay maintains a boat launch on South Gibson Road. The launch base consists of natural unaltered sand and gravel. The purpose of this project is to upgrade the boat launch to a hard surface.

The Township has a budget of up to $25,000 for construction of the project.

The Township envisions the boat launch extending approximately 10 m into the water and approximately 5 m above the high water mark for vehicle traction. The launch is to be a minimum of 5 m wide.
