Request for Proposals (RFP) – Prescott, ON – Ogdensburg, NY – Foot Passenger/Bicycle Ferry Feasibility Study

The Town of Prescott is accepting proposals for the development of a Feasibility Study to assess the viability of developing a passenger‐bicycle ferry, intended to travel between the Town of Prescott, ON & City of Ogdensburg, NY, on a seasonal basis.

  • Timelines:
  • The RFP process commences with the issuance of this RFP.
  • This RFP is dated October 15th, 2018.
  • Proposal inquiries must be received before 4pm, October 31st, 2018.
  • Proposals are due no later than 12 Noon, November 5th, 2018.
  • Proposals will be evaluated the following week. We may interview a short list of bidders. Any travel or presentation material costs will be at the bidder’s expense and will be not be reimbursed. Interviews, if conducted, will be scheduled the week of November 19th, 2018.
  • Negotiations will begin immediately with the successful candidate.
  • The name of the candidate firm who has been selected will be decided no later than 4pm, December 3rd, 2018.
  • The first draft of the feasibility study is due no later than 12 Noon, February 25th, 2019.
  • The final draft of the feasibility study is due no later than 12 Noon, March 18th, 2019.

The public opening will take place on Nov 5th, immediately following the closing time at 12pm, at Prescott Town Hall – 360 Dibble Street W. P.O. Box 160 Prescott, ON, K0E 1T0
