Full-time Court Clerk/Monitor role supporting the Provincial Offences Court. Assists the Justice of the Peace, records court proceedings, manages court documentation, and administers courtroom operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as Clerk of the Court while in session, including opening/closing proceedings, arraigning accused, administering oaths, and maintaining courtroom dockets
  • Creates and certifies accurate recordings of all court proceedings using digital equipment and maintains backup records
  • Prepares, updates, and maintains charging documentation and court orders; reviews for accuracy and brings discrepancies to Judiciary's attention
  • Updates court docket in ICON database daily with party names, court dates, charges, and dispositions; processes requests from stakeholders
  • Receives, records, and secures exhibits as evidence; screens and uploads electronic evidence for court presentation
