Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect playground equipment, park furniture, and facilities for damage and ensure safe operation
  • Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks such as lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and pressure washing
  • Erect, dismantle, and replace playground equipment as needed
  • Direct work of one or more labourers engaged in routine maintenance
  • Document hazards, vandalism, and repairs by photograph; operate light vehicle to transport tools and materials

Qualifications

  • Up to grade 12 education
  • Sound experience in parks operations and maintenance tasks or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Considerable knowledge of repair and maintenance methods, practices, and tools
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and maintain records
  • CPRA - Certified Playground Inspector certification and valid British Columbia Driver's License required

Schedule: 80 hours bi-weekly; Monday to Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
