Full-time permanent Registered Nurse position in Long-Term Care at Bendale Acres providing bilingual (French/English) nursing care to residents, including care planning, medication administration, and work direction to nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify care plans for residents in collaboration with interdisciplinary team
Provide work direction to unregulated care providers, novices, and students
Assess physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of residents through observation and analysis
Prepare and administer medications including narcotic and controlled drugs per physician orders
Liaise with community resources including hospitals, public health, home care, and social services for resident transfers and coordination
Qualifications
Current registration with College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing as Registered Nurse
Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or approved Registered Nursing program equivalent
Experience in long-term care, geriatrics, complex continuing care, and acute care
Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S) Certification
Bilingual in English and French in accordance with French Language Services Act
