Key Responsibilities
Operate vehicles and equipment for winter road maintenance and snow clearing
Perform snow removal and material spreading activities
Operate equipment including rubber tired backhoe, wheel loader, plow/dump trucks, and chainsaws
Perform minor maintenance on Public Works trucks and equipment
Perform general maintenance work and heavy manual labour as required
Qualifications
OSSD or equivalent
Minimum two years winter maintenance experience with 5 Tonne Plow-wing combination unit operation, preferably with a municipality
Valid class A or D driver's licence with airbrake Z endorsement
Excellent knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act, WHMIS, Working at Heights, and applicable Ontario Regulations
Ability to operate heavy equipment used in winter maintenance
