muniSERV is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael J. Smith as Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective October 5th, 2026.

Michael is an accomplished senior leader with significant experience in the municipal sector as well as the education sector. His demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and turn them into action is a key attribute of Michael’s skillset.

As a pioneer on many fronts in the asset management business, Michael has brought new thinking to the organizations he has been a part of.

At muniSERV, Michael will lead the operations team as we embark on a renewed mission of providing a single source for information on all things municipal in Canada. Canada’s municipal government play a critical role in our nation’s identity and success, and it will be our ongoing goal to add services, add value and help municipal organizations (big and small) succeed.
